A quite lengthy bubble has come to an end, after immense action on three tables simultaneously.
First, on Table 1, super short-stacked Matias Knaapinen moved all in for 7,000 UTG. Marc Muller (Cut-off) and Colm Tuite (Big Blind) both made the call.
Muller and Tuite both checked the flop, and the turn. After a check from Tuite on the turn, Muller scared him away with a 16,000 bet. Soon enough, Knaapinen and Muller were allowed to reveal their holdings:
Matias Knaapinen:
Marc Muller:
Not a bad spot for Knaapinen to pick up aces, and he survived on the bubble.
Over to Table 3, where there was a big pot brewing involving chip leader Taago Tamm. The board read with what looked to be 460,000 in the middle. Tamm (Big Blind) bet 200,000, and after perhaps five minutes in the tank, Endrit Geci (Hi-jack) made the call. Tamm tabled for a rivered full house, and he extended his chip lead on the field even further.
At last came the hand that would send the survivors in the money. After an initial opening to 32,000 from Wei Jie Zheng UTG, David Sathue open-shoved for perhaps 10,000 from the Hi-jack. Thomas Smeets made the call from the Big Blind.
Smeets donk-bet 25,000 on the flop, and Zheng made the call. Smeets continued for another 50,000 on the turn, and it was enough to get a fold out of Zheng.
David Sathue:
Thomas Smeets:
Sathue was in dire need of help on the river, but the didn’t help him. As such, he became the unfortunate bubble boy, and the remaining 27 players are all in the money.
