I watched most of a big hand involving Mircea Rus and Jamie Walden, but was distracted by Kenny Broad asking me to add 15+7+7. The answer is of course 29, but I managed to miss the end of the hand – short version is Walden’s up to over 2 million while Rus has dropped to 1.75 million.
Next hand, Andrew Dickinson and Parker Talbot got involved blind-on-blind, with the result that Dickinson doubled to 1.2 million and Talbot was left with 1.5 million.
Dickinson: As 4s in the small blind
Talbot: Qd Jc in the big blind
Board: (not interrupted by any mental arithmetic tests from Broad) 8s 3d 9d 9s 4c
“I’m super excited for that feeling of running well,” sighed Talbot. “It’s so hard to win, at poker. It’s so difficult to leave.” Truth.
