By the by, we’d like to commend Elizabeth Bennett-Martin who stayed to rail Marty Gorenc in the Americas Cup until 5am last night, despite being due back at noon for Day 2 of the APAT (she made it, and cashed in 16th). Now Gorenc is here railing her right back as she looks in danger of taking down the Ladies Championship. Hardcore, both.
And indeed, Bennett-Martin seems to have taken the lead. In a blind-on-blind encounter, Bennett-Martin called a bet from Georgina James on a Jd 3c 6h flop. James bet out 75k on the Ac turn – but Bennett-Martin coolly min-raised to 150k. James thought about it for a loooong time – but eventually folded, leaving herself with not much more than 350k. Bennett-Martin appears to be the chip leader now, which ought to please Marty Gorenc at least.
