Dean Wall opened to 1,000 from the button, and received calls from the blinds, including Joseph Pyne in the small blind.
On the flop, action is checked to Wall, who continued with a bet of 2,100. Only Pyne called.
The same pattern followed on the turn, with Pyne check-calling a bet of 4,000 from Wall. The river completed the board, and Wall fired out a bet of 8,000 when Pyne checked for a third time.
Pyne looked pained, and puffed out his cheeks as he went deep into thought. After checking his cards a couple of times, and saying “I can beat Ace-Queen”, he flicked in a calling chip.
He was delighted to see Wall immediately send his cards into the muck, and Pyne showed for two pair, even though it was not required.
Joseph Pyne – 60,000
Dean Wall – 10,000
