I take a liking to all the Lithuanian players having lived in the Baltic country myself for 15 years. So it is with great pain to write that all-around good guy Saulius Tumosa lost a good portion of his huge stack he began the day with as the chip leader to local hero Terence Ponsonby.
Ponsonby three-bet jammed from the big blind for 755,000 over the cutoff open by Tumosa. Tumosa called with Ponsonby at risk for perhaps the biggest pot of the event thus far.

The fish hooks needed help right away after Ponsonby improved to two pair on the flop. Bricks came the rest of the way and Ponsonby doubled into the chip lead.
Terence Ponsonby – 1.7 million
Saulius Tumosa – 290,000
