After perhaps 20 minutes on the “second” bubble of the day, there were two showdowns at two different tables.

At Table 1, Gonzalo Veiga forced Mitchell Johnson all in for 358,000 in a Blind vs. Blind scenario. Johnson made the call.

Johnson was looking good, but the gave Veiga the winning hand.

At the same time, things were going down at Table 3. Jeevan Lobo opened to 70,000 from the Hi-jack. Ben Miller called from the Cut-off, and Tarek Qunber defended his Big Blind.

Qunber checked the flop, prior to Lobo betting 80,000. Miller folded, whilst Qunber decided to call.

They got all the money in the middle on the turn.

Lobo was ahead, and Qunber didn’t improve to either a flush or a straight as the river came the .

When the dust had settled, it could be determined that Johnson and Qunber would both receive a €640 cash prize, and neither of them advanced to Day 2.
