There were huge fields in the two Spraggy-hosted events which marked the launch of the online Irish Open Afterparty on PokerStars. So far, there have been close to 30,000 tournament entries including 10,000 for the $75k guaranteed Spraggy’s Mystery Sunday Storm, 5,554 for the $400k guaranteed Mystery Sunday Special and 6,360 for the $25k guaranteed Mini Fáilte. Nearly every event has smashed its guarantee with last night’s Progressive Total KO Zoom attracting 1,595 entries creating a $15,600 prize pool – more than 50% up on the $10k guarantee.

47 left in Spraggy’s Mystery Sunday Special
In the $75 Spraggy’s Mystery Sunday Special, which features a $400,000 guarantee, there were 5,554 entries and 47 players are still in the mix going into Day 2, all chasing a $24,314 top prize.
Spraggy entered the $75 tournament twice but failed to make the top 1,000. The two players who managed to boot Spraggy out of his own tourney both won a ticket into the $500,000 guarantee Celtic Fortune Main Event, which runs April 19 to April 20, along with a custom Spraggy throwable.
All the top bounties have gone with VinceVegaMFR from Brazil scooping the $40k mystery bounty. He bowed out in 365th place but Iceland’s 777toome snagged the $20k bounty and is still in, currently lying in seventh place. The current chip leader is RealiQ from Slovakia with 15,932. Team PokerStars Pro Sebastian “peace&love” Huber made the money, finishing 167th for $143.60. All players remaining are guaranteed at least $251.
104 through to Day 2 of Spraggy’s Mystery Sunday Storm
In the $75,000 guaranteed Spraggy’s Mystery Sunday Storm, just 104 players will be back for Day 2 from a starting field of 10,000. The $98,000 prize pool topped the guarantee by more than $20k. Germany’s “nowherea” is in the lead with 20.4m in chips. The top $1,500 bounty went to “stanimura” from Brazil, who has won five bounties in all. That player is still in, currently in 48th place with 3.8 million in chips.
Again, there was a bounty on Spraggy: a $109 Irish Open Online Main Event ticket + a Spraggy throwable. Spraggy made the money in this event, finishing 405th for $20. Team PokerStars Pro Sebastian “peace&love” Huber also cashed, snagging $13 plus another $49 in bounties for his 749th place.
The series continues today – and right through to April 20 – with Day 2 of the two Spraggy-hosted events plus numerous other events. The Blarney Bluffs are two $40k guaranteed Progressive Knockout tourneys – choose from a $109 buy-in (Event 12) or $22 buy-in (Event 13). Or both!!!
The Afterparty is bringing the Irish Open’s unmistakable ‘craic’ to the online PokerStars tables, giving you the chance to recreate the festival’s famous atmosphere in your own home!
The live version of Europe’s oldest and biggest poker tournament ended Monday at the Royal Dublin Society with record numbers – including more than 1600+ players who won their seats online.
The Irish Open Afterparty runs until April 20, with more than $3 million guaranteed prize pools across a 69-event schedule. The $109 Celtic Fortune Main Event, which runs April 19 to April 20, features a $500,000 prize pool guarantee and there are three other events that also come with a six-figure guarantee.
