Michael O’Donoghue just won a decent pot with a monster hand – on a board. At showdown, once Michael McAleer had paid off his small-ish river bet, O’Donoghue’s poker face dissolved into a little smile, his hands shaking slightly as he swept up the pot that move him up to 29,000 or so. Quads will do that to you!

Bolstered with new-found confidence, he raised the next hand to 800 from middle position, but ran into the unflinching form of this week’s Argentinian Hendon Mob Championship winner, Mario Niciforo, who jammed all-in for his 11,600 stack.
