Barry McMahon folded his button, and small blind Simon Nickmans moved all in. Simon Appleby made the call in the big blind with Ks Td and must have been delighted to see the Kh 9s in his opponent’s hand – until the flop came down Ad 9d 7d. Still, there were diamonds left in the pack. Unfortunately for him, the turn and river were the 3h and 4s and Appleby drops right back down to the short stack, just as the blinds are set to rise to 100k/150k.
