The Mini version of the Irish Open Main Event has proved a huge draw in the last few days with 302 arriving for Day 1A, and an even larger 377 players registering to contend Day 1B.
No surprise perhaps, given the affordable €200 buy-in is accompanied by a sizeable €500k guarantee, giving those on a more modest budget a shot at a genuinely impressive prize pool. Zippy twenty minute levels mean players will be forced into confrontations sooner rather than later.
This is the 3rd of nine flights and the unlimited rebuy format means we’ll no doubt be seeing plenty of familiar faces who expired in the earlier flights loading one more registration bullet into the chamber and firing themselves into the fray, looking for a kinder run of fortune this time.
There will be new faces peppered amongst them as the spacious RDS hall continues to fill up with fresh-faced contenders and we know we’re in for another dynamic day of No Limit Hold’Em.
Moments away from the start, good luck one and all!
