Leon Campbell was in control of the pot until the very end.
The flop was Qh Td 6c and money was going in against Oscar Montalvo, who has a big stack with two tables remaining.
The Qs and 8d runout seemed pretty wonderful for Campbell, who was harbouring Kh Qd in his hand. But after he bet the river, Montalvo moved all-in for heaps and heaps.
And Campbell could not find cause to fold, so he called. It was 7-9 for Montalvo, the nut straight, and a bounty.
Sorry news though, it did not go well from there on out. Nick Newport has risen to near the top of the chip lead and Andrew Bak still is holding court in the podium position.
