On the tail end of a board, James Wynne called a bet worth 3,000,000 by Giovanni Dedoni and mucked to the of the Italian. That restored the stack sizes of the heads-up start and Dedoni maintained the lead the next few hands.

Wynne then limped the button and Dedoni checked to the flop on which the Italian check-called for 600,000. Both players opted to check the turn and saw the river for free. Dedoni checked again and Wynne moved all-in only to get snap-called.

Wynne showed his for fives full of aces, but he ran into the slow-played for aces full of fives. The local lad earned €60,000 for his efforts while Dedoni picked up the additional €10,000 for the winner and surpassed that tally.

A recap of today’s action is to follow.
