Called “The Gentleman”, Liam Flood was among Ireland’s poker pioneers and became one of the game’s icons. Sadly, eleven years ago, the two-time Irish Open Main Event champ died aged 71.
While it was a massive loss for the entire community, Flood’s legacy continues to be remembered and embraced at the festival, namely throughout the annual €350 Liam Flood Memorial 6-Max Turbo event.
This year, players will once again pay respect to the legend. They will try turning their 30,000 stack into bigger piles as the tournament quickly progresses with 15-minute levels from start to finish.
