A touch harsh this hand – Christopher Funari ran his kings into Alexandros Dimogiorgis’ pocket queens – the pair understandably committing their stacks preflop – and there was to be no bad beat redemption as the board ran out a clean to leave Dimogiorgis wounded but still with a very viable 2.5M stack.
Funari however rises to 2.4M and has a realistic shot at the title with still 9 remaining in the hunt…
