It’s the Irish Open, only smaller! The buy-in may be a fraction of that for the Main, but “The Mini”, as it is affectionately known, has traditionally been taken every bit as seriously as its grown-up cousin, while still somehow maintaining the emphasis on fun. The structure is virtually the same as that of the Main, except with 30 minute levels and a mere €250 price tag. This is a two-day event, so expect intermittent updates here for Day 1; coverage will intensify as we get down to the business end on Day 2 when we expect the final to run basically in tandem with the “Full-Size” or “Classic” Main.
Last year’s Mini drew 345 entries and was won by Switzerland’s Silvio Buccellia for €14,423. In line with basically every other event this year, we’re expecting records to be broken. Reg is open for eight levels, so come on down as soon as your hangovers recede and take your shot at Mini-glory.
