Mini Main Event: Day 1D Set to Play Down to 5%, with Three Flights Already in the Books
Day 1D of this year’s Mini Main Event will play down to the top 5% of the field, with all surviving players bagging chips for Day 2. Meanwhile, the top 15% of each flight will make it into the money, securing at least a min-cash before their tournament run ends.
Players begin with 30,000 chips, and blind levels run for 20 minutes, with breaks scheduled every five to six levels. Each starting flight offers unlimited re-entries, and late registration is open until the end of Level 10—giving players ample opportunity to take a shot.
Day 1A drew 178 entries, with 27 players making the money and nine players advancing to Day 2. Romania’s Cristina Jugastru ended the flight as chip leader, bagging 1,160,000 and setting the early pace for the rest of the field.
Day 1B saw 249 entries, producing 39 paid spots and 13 Day 2 qualifiers. Vilius Kadelskas of Lithuania emerged as chip leader, bagging 1,575,000—a mark that briefly topped the overall leaderboard.
Day 1C became the largest flight so far, with 294 entries registered. 39 players reached the money, and 15 advanced to Day 2. Ravi Sheth bagged a commanding 1,585,000 to take over as the tournament’s overall chip leader, while Eleanor Goberville also had a strong showing, ending the day with 1,055,000.
With 13 starting flights scheduled in total, the action is only heating up. All eyes now turn to Day 1D to see who will join the growing list of Day 2 contenders.
