We all know one of the surest ways to ensure the wrath of the poker gods is celebrating early, and Mohamed just learnt that the hard way. He opened to 5,000, and was met with a three-bet to 16,000 by Thomas M’Bodj. Action folded back to Mohamed who thought for a moment before four-bet jamming for his 46,000 total stack.
M’Bodj smiled, glanced at the clock, and asked for a count. Once he realized he couldn’t really fold, he made the call.

Upon seeing his opponents holding, Mohamed pointed at his kings, and started shouting “King, King”, pointing at his cards and beating his chest like a gorilla, all while wearing a huge smile.
There must have been a fair bit of craic at the table, as M’Bodj just started laughing. Mohamed then leaned across the table to give his opponent a fist bump, and hadn’t even noticed the flop spelt danger.
The player next to him nudged his elbow, and he realized the scenario. It was instant pain as the hit on the turn, the river completing the board.
Mohamed was stunned, the table was in stitches, but he took it like a champ.
