The thing about mid-stage tournaments in the freezeout stage is that they consume themselves reliably, at a pace that can be (more or less) predicted. So as players exit the Main Event, JP Masters and €150 Bounty tournament that have all been running this afternoon, the tables become available and a third of the chairs become redundant…
Some players have come out specifically for the four-card Championship this evening (and regularly cherry-pick the Omaha out of the Irish Open’s yearly spread), and they’ll be among the 141 registered in good time; late registration is open for eight 30-minute levels.
