After two days of some of the toughest poker we’ve seen yet here at the Irish Open, Cosmin Chis has battled through a field of 168 including an absolutely gruelling heads up to claim the €106,640 top prize and the shiny trophy.
Chis has good form at this sort of thing – he won the Irish Poker Festival Super High Roller in Killarney last year, and came to this year’s Irish Open fresh off a deep run at the recent European Deepstack. He also went really deep in the Main Event here in 2019, finishing in 34th place back then. Nevertheless, this represents by far the biggest live cash of his career – he fought hard, and he deserves every penny of it. Glory to the new High Roller champion!
