Four Irish players out of an 46-entry strong field returned for the final day of Event #14 €3,000 Cuatro PLO High Roller and had locked up a portion of the €122,705 prize pool. The action recommenced at 1 p.m. local time inside the vast tournament area at the Royal Dublin Society and it would take just over two hours to determine a champion.
Widely regarded as one of the best Omaha players in Ireland, Chris Dowling returned with the third-largest stack and coasted to victory in dominant fashion. Once he picked up the momentum and soared to the top of the leaderboard, it seemed inevitable that he would pick up an Omaha trophy at the Irish Open for the second year in a row. In 2025, Dowling took down the €350 Big O Championship and added another victory to his live poker resume today.
He even got it done fast enough to attend a Gaelic Football match of his son, which was scheduled to kick off at 4 p.m. on a sunny Saturday in Dublin after the usual rain showers had subsided.
Adam Geyer was the first casualty of the final day when he was knocked out by chip leader Seamus Cahill when his rivered set of fives was no good against a wheel. Luke Walsh then bowed out in a three-way all-in against Juha Suutari and Balazs Somodi before Dowling drilled two pair on the flop to crack the pocket aces of fellow Irishman Michael Muldoon.
Down to the final four, the average was a staggering fifty big blinds and the lead changed a few times. That was until Dowling assumed control by scooping several small and two big pots. Somodi lost half his stack against the aggression of the big stack and Dowling then coolered Cahill with a queen-high flush versus a jack-high flush.
When the chips went in the middle between Dowling and Cahill once more, the latter was in dire shape with a dominated pair and worse wrap. Dowling locked it up with a flush right away and the field was down to the heads-up stage a few minutes later when the kings of Dowling took care of Somodi.
Suutari was heavily out-chipped and managed one double with pocket aces, but the second time wasn’t a charm as Dowling rivered two pair to claim the victory. He had enough time to pose for the winner shots before heading out.

The final result below includes the cash and bounty prizes with each player earning €3,000 for knockouts once the field had reached the last 25% in the previous evening. This is part of the newly introduced Cuatro bounty format which runs for the first time during the 2026 Irish Open.
