Players are halfway through the “day” over in 1d and the atmosphere is actually rather more subdued than I’d expected. No one seems to be outrageously drunk or doing anything weird, and all of the shrieking etc seems to be coming instead from the €150 NLH and the dozens of cash games at the far end of the room.
Looking around for chip leaders, I stopped by Anthony Dermody to scrutinise his 100k or so. “Admiring my stack are ye?” he asked. Meh, I’ve seen bigger. Over on Table 47, Jean Napiot seems to be the chip leader, on around 110k. There are currently 159 entries, and the average stack is around 37k.
