I just caught the final moments of Youness Hussein Barakat’s exit from the Americas Cup, right before they went on a break. His AJ was insufficient against AK on a 23QQ9 board; I’m pretty sure Oliver Braddock was the guy holding the AK, although it all happened rather fast. Either way, Barakat is no more – but we have to say the player lounge is looking really lovely and there are several bars now up and running with various forms of entertainment and whatnot, so there’s that.
By the by, also at that table is last year’s Americas Cup champion Mor Kamber – although on 36k she’s barely moved from her starting stack.
