Dmitry Bakun’s tilt at America Cup glory lies in tatters – his move with QT unable to topple the kings of Roland Boothby over a 7-2-5-6-2 board and he becomes the latest casualty, finishing up 20th for €1,265.

Joshua Stewart was even less fortunate, getting his final ten big blinds or so in with A-K and looking in prime shape for a double as David Hudson took him on with A-T.

The vagaries of poker fortune being what they are however – a board of 3-T-Q-5-2 upset the equity applecart, and Stewart’s impressive run ends in 19th place for the same prize €1,265.
