The bustouts have slowed right down, but there’s been some interesting action in the 6-Max nonetheless.
Lawend Mardini has extended his chip lead to 1.3 million, most recently taking down a hefty pot against Noel Hayes holding KJ on a king-high board. Hayes is down to 170k or 10BB now.
Meanwhile Patrick Schratz has decided it’s all or nothing and has gone into shoving mode, first under the gun (no callers) and then again next hand from the big blind, this time over a raise from Ian Gascoigne in the small blind. “It’s all in from now on,” said Gascoigne jovially as he folded. Schratz replied drily: “At some point, yes.” Schratz is up to 250k – that’s still barely half the average though.
And over on the far table, our last woman standing Marle Spragg has doubled through Andrew Grimason, shoving with Ad Td in the big blind over Grimason’s under-the-gun raise with Kd Qc. The board rolled out Jd 3h Ah 8h Qd and Spragg doubled to 400k; Grimason was left with just 100k or so.
