Georgios Alexiou was all-in with a short stack on fourth street while Bouwe Claushuis and Li Chen played for the side pot. Chen bet his open pair of eights all the way from fifth to seventh street and Claushuis reluctantly called, then almost immediately declared he would be chopping with Chen for the larger side pot.
Both big stacks meshed their three down cards in the showdown and Chen ended up with a pair of eights and eight-seven low. Claushuis had an inferior pair but seven-six low, while Alexiou’s pair of sixes and no low received no part of the pot.
