The title’s a bit of a spoiler. A back-and-forth between Colm Tuite and Dean Connolly got stacks in preflop (effective 35,500 in front of Tuite) and there was no surprise when the former showed Qh Qc and the latter Ah Ad. The flop was Jd 6c Js, but the turn brought the Qs and a bit of a collective wince from the table (we all know how that feels). No help for the aces on the 5h river, and Tuite doubles while Connolly drops to near the felt with a resigned, “Uggh. Sick.”
