I’m not sure who did the betting, but I arrived just in time to see Mariona Canals and Tom McEnaney put 7k each into the pot on a board reading 4h 6c 8c Kd. They saw a river.
The river in question was the 3c and Canals checked. Her ruse didn’t work though, and McEnaney checked behind and revealed As Ks for top pair, top kicker. Canals turned over Kc 9c for the rivered flush, and the pot went to her. She’s at over 60k now. McEnaney had his hands folded in front of his stack and had quite a grim expression on his face so I thought it unwise to try to count his remaining stack, but the top of a significant column of green 5k chips peeping out from above his hands suggested that he was still in decent shape even after that.
