The Irish Open Players Party is always an absolute scorcher and this year’s celebration is set to be the best yet. On Sunday, April 5 – the penultimate night of the festival – we’re going full 1970s for the evening, and giving away a 2027 Mini Irish Open ticket for the best outfit too.
With Irish Open players happy to wear the bravest of sartorial choices(!), we are confident that many of you already have a dangerously impressive stash of 70s gear ready for just this moment. We expect to see the Craic Den absolutely awash with sequins and flares at the Players Party and will be giving away a 2027 Mini Irish Open ticket for the best outfit. So now’s the time to raid your cupboards and dig out all the velvet and psychedelia you can muster!
Of course, it will be a full boogie wonderland once the live music kicks off. The Bentley Boys will be pumping out the tunes from 11pm and keeping the dancefloor heaving well into the night. Phil “Let Me Entertain You” Baker will be running the show and making sure everyone gets their groove on!
Got a favourite disco anthem? A track that sums up the 70s for you? Do let us know via our social media channels (use the hashtag #IrishOpen70s) and, with any luck, the Bentley Boys will bung it straight onto their playlist. If nothing else, DO make sure you have got all your Village People dance moves down pat!
So no pressure! Just great music and outrageous outfits. And don’t forget the fun will get underway from 8.30pm with our PokerStars Happy Hour in the Craic Den, followed by Phil’s Banging Bingo from 9.30pm until 11pm. A cracking night is in the offing!
The 2026 Irish Open festival is taking place from March 26 to April 6 at the Royal Dublin Society with 86 different tournaments including the €2.5million guaranteed Main Event, €1m guaranteed Luxon Pay Mystery Bounty and €1m guaranteed Mini Irish Open.
