Yesterday’s Pot-Limit Omaha champion Shamil Patel jumped into the action towards the end of the late registration period but has since lost half of his stack. Patel was part of a three-way action to fifth when he called a bet by Corne Scheel. The latter paired his ace on fifth and that bet got rid of Patel and Thor Morstoel.

Morstoel remains the largest stack of the trio with 80,000, while Scheel has 35,000 and Patel’s work is cut out on 15,000.
